Implant Procedure

Prosthetic Dental Implant Procedure
The prosthetic dental implant procedure process may take from three to nine months because of the time needed
for your bone to heal around the dental implant body.

First procedure: under anesthesia an artificial root (implant body) is placed into the jaw bone. Healing time is up to six months (some systems have immediate loading).

Second procedure: at the time of uncovery, a healing cap (abutment) is placed on to the prosthetic dental implant (some systems are different and there is no need for healing abutments).

Third procedure: when the bone is completely healed to the dental implant, proper fixtures will be placed on to the prosthetic dental implant. At that point the implant will be loaded with either a screw retained crown or a cemented crown.
